With regards to the ongoing COVID-19 emergency, Alpinter remains operational and has taken all necessary measures to protect employees, other stakeholders, and people they are in contact with and reduce the potential for viral transmission.
OPERATIONAL CONTINUITY
Alpinter has ensured operational continuity, meaning all activities (production, development and order processing) are continuing as normal.
MEETINGS, TRIPS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING
In line with government recommendations, all meeting with external parties, trips and participations to fairs are cancelled. All employees are recommended to work from home whenever possible and are reachable via email, Skype or on their mobile phones. In situations where physical presence is required, the number of people within a room is limited as far as possible and distance between people is respected.
PRODUCTION CONTINUITY
Thanks to strict safety measures, we have guaranteed production continuity. Our production facilities in China for multipurpose tents, tarpaulins, shelter tool kits, jerrycans and kitchen sets are operating at normal capacity. In Pakistan, our production of blankets and tents is ongoing, although with reduced capacity due to the government-mandated lockdown.
Supply of shelter and core relief items from our worldwide stocks by road, sea and air freight remains possible.
