Quality Control Supervisor
Alpinter has been active for over 30 years, as a developer of Tents and other Core Relief Items for humanitarian organizations and government bodies worldwide. With HQ in Belgium (Ronse) and local offices and warehouses around the globe, the company is considered one of the leading actors in the humanitarian sector.
World Of Tents (WOT) is the mother-brand of tent labels Alpino, Canopy, auTentic and Revelry. Alpino and Canopy are existing brands for scouting and gazebo tents. auTentic and Revelry are start-up labels, created in 2019. These labels create and supply tents for glamping, leisure and festivals.
The Quality Control Supervisor will work for both entities, from the office in Ronse, and will be part of the technical product-team, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
INTERNAL LAB
- Responsible for the daily operations of the internal lab.
- Responsible for implementation, follow-up and optimizing of related SOPs.
- Ensure testing-equipment is operating correctly (calibrations, maintenance service, …).
- Tests and results: support different teams (R&D, Sourcing, Quality) by:
- Plan and execute the tests: being able to prioritize, plan and execute tests as to reach the results within acceptable and most efficient timeframe,
- Recording and reporting results: ensure that all reports and logbooks are accurate and correct,
- Communicate and analyze results of tests to the stakeholders,
- Analyzing results together with the QA Manager and other stakeholders (trend- and risk-analysis),
- Coordinate with external 3rd party-labs/partners for lab-related issues/ communication…
- Responsible for developing system of data-recording.
WAREHOUSE INCOMING GOODS QC
- External warehouse: control of incoming goods:
- Developing and implement SOP for incoming goods QC,
- Executing the quality-control,
- Recording and reporting results to QA Mgr.
CERTIFICATIONS and COMPLIANCE
- Assist in compliance subjects and accreditation of certifications (ISO 9001 and others).
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree (preferable in science-oriented subjects) or equal through experience, textile background is considered as a plus.
- Experience: 2 – 3 years as laboratory supervisor or assistant.
- Good knowledge of English, French and/or Dutch highly recommended.
- Excellent skills in MS Office.
- Knowledge of ISO-certification is a plus.
- Experience with AQL-auditing methods is a plus.
