On Sunday April 13th, a plane from Fiji Airways landed for the first time on Caledonian soil, with about 40 passengers on board, who will be placed in quarantine for the next two weeks. The return flight allowed the routing of humanitarian freight back to the Fijian population, who were struck by Cyclone Harold earlier this month.
Hundreds of Alpinter RED® tents, Kitchen Sets and Jerrycans were sent to the affected area. The goods will be distributed across the various islands and will help close to 500 families in need.
