On Sunday February 2nd, a French airplane brought back several hundred European citizens from the Chinese city of Wuhan. Amongst them were 9 Belgian citizens, who arrived on Sunday evening at the military airport in Melsbroek.

At the airport, Alpinter XPERT tents were deployed as a ‘First Quarantine Zone’. The tents will serve as the first medical check-up unit. In the med zone, the 9 Belgian citizens will receive an initial check-up, before being moved on to the military hospital of Nederoverheembeek where they will remain during the 14 day quarantine period.

The tents used for the Med Zone are part of the EMT Belgium, managed by FOD Volksgezondheid.
