Corporate Social Responsibility

With more than 30 years of experience in core relief aid products, we believe we have a responsibility to set an example. This has defined every aspect of our business practices.

  • Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We refuse to follow any practices or activities that compromise fundamental human rights.
  • We believe everyone has the right to work in a safe environment. We ensure this belief is upheld at our own offices and production facilities, as well as those run by our suppliers. We only work with partners who are as willing as we are to improve their practices to ensure people and the environment are shown proper respect.
  • Our products provide assistance and comfort to reduce suffering and trauma in emergency situations. We believe it is our duty to provide the absolute highest standard possible. As such, we design, adapt, test and make adjustments to ensure our products deliver ultimate support. We actively visit sites where our products are in use to assess how they perform in real-life situations and how they can be further improved.
  • We follow practices that help to minimise the environmental impact of our activities, recycling and reusing cut-off from our production processes and reworking materials that fall short of our quality standards.

Alpinter recognises that our activities in manufacturing and distributing shelter and core relief items has an impact on the environment. We organise our everyday business according to 4 basic environmental principles, which guide our efforts to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment:

We carefully select and choose the materials we work with, taking into account client specifications, real-world performance, durability and eco-friendliness.

We optimise our products, their packing and our logistics solutions to ship and transport the products as efficiently and eco-consciously as possible.

In all aspects of production, we integrate processes that allow us to optimise our production and eliminate as much waste material as possible. We consciously design our products and packaging wherever possible to encourage their re-use (i.e. give a second life) once they have served their initial purpose.

In all activities, we consciously manage the use of natural resources. From innovative industrial production processes all the way to policies for switching off lights and heating at HQ when not required.

Since 2020, we are monitoring closely our actions and impact on Sustainability, resulting in a yearly Sustainability Report: a public statement of our previous and present efforts to minimise our environmental impact, and our commitments to expanding these efforts in the future in conjunction with all industry stakeholders.
