Organising healthcare in Chad

Refugee Doctors Bring Healing and Hope to Chad
In eastern Chad, where hundreds of thousands of Sudanese refugees have sought safety, the pressure on local healthcare systems is immense. Yet amidst the challenge, a remarkable story of resilience and collaboration is unfolding.
Sudanese refugee doctors, displaced by the ongoing conflict in their home country, are now playing a vital role in supporting medical services in and around the refugee camps. Thanks to an agreement between UNHCR, local authorities, and the Chadian Ministry of Health, these skilled professionals have been granted permission to practice medicine. They now work side by side with local health workers, treating both refugees and members of the host community.
Supporting Healthcare in the Field
To help meet the growing demand for medical infrastructure, temporary health posts and extension units have been set up, several of which are housed in Alpinter XPERT tents. Designed for rapid deployment and demanding field conditions, our XPERT tents provide durable, modular spaces that serve as outpatient clinics, triage points, and temporary wards.
At Alpinter, we are proud to contribute to this kind of impact. Supporting and supplying items for healthcare and other essential services is at the heart of our mission. We stand behind the doctors, humanitarian teams, and local partners working tirelessly in Chad and across the region.
