Humanitarian Response in Ukraine

In the earliest days of the conflict in Ukraine, Alpinter immediately mobilised relief aid items from our facilities in Belgium and Bulgaria. Items such as tents, hygiene parcels, field cots, sleeping bags and blankets were on their way to Ukraine and bordering countries within days of the conflict beginning in earnest.

With the conflict having now endured for more than 5 months, the humanitarian needs for Ukrainian refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) have expanded to levels not seen in Europe for decades. Alpinter has stepped up to meet the needs of the NGOs and government organisations who are assisting the estimated 6+ million refugees and 8+ million IDPs.

To date, Alpinter has coordinated the delivery of more than 1,000 truckloads of relief items to Ukraine and surrounding countries on behalf of UN and Red Cross agencies, other international organisations and governments, covering more than:

780,000 Hygiene Kits411,000 Jerrycans
