Haiyan 2013

Typhoon Haiyan was one of the most powerful tropical cyclones ever recorded in Southeast Asia, which caused major devastation in The Philippines, Vietnam and Southern China.

In response, Alpinter delivered significant volumes of aid-relief items (RED Family Tents, HUB Multipurpose Tents, Plastic Sheeting, Hygiene Kits, …) on behalf of our partner organisations from our permanent stocks in China and Pakistan.

During a field assessment six months later, we were pleased to note that our PE material tents (RED and HUB) were still being used by communities and remained in good condition, despite exposure to humidity, heavy rains, sea salt, and high temperatures.
