COVID-19 RESPONSE

It has been 4 months since the first reported case of COVID-19 appeared with (at that time) an unknown cause in Wuhan, China. Today, the virus has spread to every continent, forcing mass quarantines and pushing public health facilities to their limits.

In the past few weeks, Alpinter has supplied multipurpose tents, field cots, canopy folding tents and other emergency items to various organisations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Our worldwide stocks (in Belgium, UAE, Pakistan, China, Uganda, Bulgaria) of tents, blankets, sleeping bags, jerrycans and other core relief items remain available for dispatch.

HUB and XPERT Multipurpose Tent

The HUB© tent has frequently been deployed by large international aid organisations, for example during the Ebola outbreaks in 2014 and 2019. The HUB© tent is 100% synthetic (made from woven polyethylene 250 gr blackout), which is washable, disinfectable, fire retardant and UV resistant. 

The recently developed XPERT© series is the new generation of high-performance multipurpose tents. The XPERT© is made of the same synthetic materials, but with vertical walls creating 20% more inner volume. The large openings ensure enhanced ventilation. With optional corridors and connectors, the tents can be consolidated into a larger integrated hospital structure. 

In February, BFAST (the Belgian EMT Team) deployed XPERT tents as a medical quarantine zone for the first patients returning from the province of Wuhan during the current COVID-19 crisis.
